"Long wait"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

My partner and I were in Bunbury Hospital, once admitted we waited in the fast track for over an hour to be seen by a doctor. My partner couldn't move their whole right side from their hip down and was in excruciating pain. This isn't the first time the hospital has taken far too long to see patients in my opinion.

I believe it would've been quicker to drive to another hospital.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the time your partner waited to be treated at the Bunbury Hospital Emergency Department. I am sorry your partner had a wait to be seen and treated by a doctor.

The Emergency Department has been very busy recently and at times the number of presentations and acuity of patients can extend wait times. For this, I apologise. I hope that once your partner was seen that the care they received was to your expectations and that they are now on the mend.

The hospital continually works on options to reduce wait times and improve patient flow.

Recently, the Government announced funding for redevelopment of the Bunbury Hospital to enable services to be expanded to meet the increasing demands of the region.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our service.
