"St John of God Midland ED"

About: St John of God Midland Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had the misfortune to require the services of an Emergency Department (ED) at a different hospital recently after experiencing a serious haemorrhage due to miscarriage,

After a terrible experience at this other hospital, I knew I’d never return, so when things went wrong, it was SJOG Midland ED that I attended. I cannot express in words how relieved I am to have made that choice.

To the entire ED team on duty that day, thank you so much for your kindness, empathy, and your professionalism. I have worked in a professional capacity with everyone involved for a number of years now. I knew you were all wonderful at what you do anyway, but to experience things from the patient perspective has reinforced that.

Everyone from triage through to the consultants I saw in ED were brilliant. You were so quick to act and so empathetic. Your kindness and professionalism when dealing with such a private and highly emotive issue will never be forgotten.

I was triaged quickly, had no wait, saw a Dr almost immediately and had treatment commenced before I even realised it was underway. You were all so forthcoming with assisting me in any way needed (especially trying to protect my dignity).

Thank you all for your role in getting me home to my child. You’re all more appreciated than you know.

Hello Almostgotme,

Thank you for your feedback about the care provided in our Emergency Department (ED). I was really touched to learn of your experience and extremely pleased to learn that you were treated with empathy and kindness during your visit. Your kind words will be forwarded to the caregivers involved in your care, and l am sure they will be very pleased to know that you felt cared for and went home safely to be with your child. I hope you have recovered from your stay and thank you once again.

Kind regards

Janet Jones
