My spouse has undergone the removal of a sarcoma in their hip which went really well. A few months later they were then struck with unimaginable pain in their kidneys where they were taken to Royal Perth Hospital (RPH).
My spouse was medicated and received a stent in their urethra. This happened several months ago. Instead of removing the 10 x 8 mm stone then put a stent in which is still in to this day.
My spouse is in constant pain and can’t just have pain relief for the rest of their life! They were told that they would remove the stent and stone at the end of within six weeks. Still nothing!
My spouse's Dr contacted RPH to have this dealt with immediately only for us to have to wait in emergency for over 8 hours to be told to do pain management and that the laser machine is broken! In my opinion, this is beyond a joke. Do they not realise that my spouse wants to get back to normal after having a year off to heal from major surgery? Surely there is more than one laser machine in Perth.
