As a cancer patient, I have some problems with my vision recently. My GP has provided a referral and other information about my cancer treatment.
When I presented these documents to the Triage nurse recently, they read the documents and asked me many questions, and I had to answer and tell them about my problems, including my cancer treatment publicly in the waiting area.
Why they didn’t hold these questions and ask me when I was invited into the room? I felt very embarrassed when I answered them publicly and I felt I was not treated with respect. Furthermore, I have noticed when I was in waiting area, that it seemed I was the only one patient to be asked so many questions publicly. I really don’t know why.
