"Pre-admission appointment"

About: Box Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

Appoint was early afternoon, the ECG went well, the nurse was great. Then a long wait for the surgeon. The surgeon asked most of the same questions the nurse had asked, gave a brief examination.  Then said they would consult the anesthetist, to ascertain if they needed to see me, and didn't come back.  I had lots of questions I wanted to ask which the nurse was unable to answer for me.

The nurse came and gave me my blood test referral and informed me I would receive a letter with a date for surgery. By this time it was 5.30 pm.

Whilst I don't mind the wait, it would have been comforting to be able to voice my concerns regarding what to expect after surgery.
