"Sent to fast track, still waited three hours"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I came in, was sent to fast track and still waited three hours. I would love to send through a photo of two doctors and two nurses talking and, in my opinion, flirting and giggling but I'm unable to add a photo.

In my opinion, they know they need to be here regardless of patients so there is no incentive for them to hurry. I feel maybe the patient charges doctor and reduces Medicare rebate for every half hour we wait so they might speed up. Joke.

Dear falconeg44

Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your experience when attending the Emergency Department at Box Hill Hospital. I am very sorry you had to wait so long, but equally importantly that your experience was jaded by the behaviours of the staff working in the fast track area.

I will provide your feedback to the Director and Manager of the Emergency Department so they can use your experience to reinforce the behaviours expected by all staff and the impact they have, whether they are aware of this or not.

I trust you did eventually receive the care and service you came to the Emergency Department for and your health is on the mend.

Kind regards and best wishes,

David
