"The story of a wonderful lady"

As we sat at the eye hospital for 10 hours, we marvelled at this wonderful lady named Irene. At the time we did not know her age. We were amazed at how quick she was at taking care of matters, how wonderful her attitude was towards patients and carers. On numerous occasions, we had noticed she never stands idly by. Upon finding out she was over 70, that made her even more spectacular in our opinion!

Her kindness, assistance and legendary work ethic absolutely amazed us. We certainly hope she is around for many good years. We would love to find out what her secret is to staying young while growing old gracefully, yet we believe this secret will never be shared. She did tell us she really loved her work. 

We believe she should be very proud of what she’s doing and the way in which she does so. In my opinion, if every person had an attitude like this, all workplaces would operate much more efficiently and leave a good lasting impression upon everyone. Although we aren’t saying there are not more staff at the eye hospital who have this attitude, we felt Irene needed to be commended.
