"Not enough assisted parking for the disabled"

About: Allied Health (Bass Coast Health) Wonthaggi Hospital

(as the patient),

I had to park in the 5-minute parking bay as I can't walk far. I felt worried I might get booked. I believe the hospital really needs more disabled parking.

Dear pepperqr73,

We absolutely agree that we need more disabled parking and the very excellent news is that this week, we started building them!

As part of the governments $115 million dollar funding boost to expand Wonthaggi Hospital, we are thrilled to have started works to bring over 130 new car parks (including Disabled car parks and parking on the flat area out the side of the Consulting Suites).

The car park works should be completed around September - in the meantime, we apologise for the inconvenience and don't worry, we won't book you! If you need to come again, feel free to call ahead and I know our kind reception staff can organise for a porter to help you in with a wheelchair.

All the best and thanks for taking the time to write to us.

Jan.
