I had an appointment with the Outpatients Department, which I had to wait nearly 3 months.
I was taken in nearly an hour late and once in there, the doctor said they had not read the file. I would expect that the file has been at least looked at and some conclusions be drawn before I walk in the room. In my opinion, it was a straight forward referral for what I believe would be a straight forward procedure.
It leaves me feeling like there is no care about the patient.
I hope that when I am taken in for the procedure I won't be questioned about my medical history again (which happened last time), which is in the notes, in front of the patient, in the holding area.
Confidentiality needs to be remembered.
