"A very big thank you"

About: Northam Health Service

(as the patient),

I was taken by ambulance to Northam Regional Hospital recently, the week after having surgery. The volunteers from a Toodyay St John Ambulance Subcentre were amazing.

I was seen by the nurse very quickly upon my arrival and within minutes I was seen by a consultant who took the time to listen to me, tell me their plan and why they made the decisions to do what they wanted to do.

The tests were done very quickly. The nurse that was treating me was so kind, caring and very professional and made me feel very comforted. When the results were in, the consultant came back and spoke to me and explained the results.

I have never felt so cared for and informed from a hospital in many years. I want to say a very big thank you to the consultant and nurse who took such great care of me.

Dear cubezs96,

Thank you for sharing your story.

I was so pleased to read of the great care you received whilst in the Northam Emergency Department.

Our staff have truly demonstrated our WACHS values in the care they have provided, by being attentive and clearly explaining your plan of care and test results.

I will take great pleasure in passing your kind words on to the staff, they will all appreciate hearing about your positive feedback.

I have contacted the St John Ambulance Service asking them to pass your thanks on to the volunteers at Toodyay with our added appreciation of the continuous fantastic job they do.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your story and I do hope you are well on the road to recovery.

Best wishes

Trenton Greive
