"ED administration staff"

About: Calvary Wakefield Hospital / Emergency Centre

(as a staff member),

My friend and I presented to the Emergency Department (ED) recently due to my friend's chest pain and aching all over their body. We went to the front desk to ask for help, we got GP letter and all information to try to show them.

Because my friend is a clinician, they had already had a couple of tests for COVID-19, all negative, we show them as well. This staff member told us off in serious and very rude. They wouldn’t accept us I believe because we are at risk.

We both understand but we feel very sad because we feel the staff member said in such a rude way and we feel very bullied and racism maybe because we are not Australian.

We can understand situations and all new policy, but please tell us and explain to us in a nice way. Also, at same time we feel so sad to see this, as we are clinicians as well. I believe this is not the right standard of practice. The way we been served make us feel very awful. We writing this not just to make that staff get in trouble but we just don’t want other people experiencing that awful treatment again.
