(as the patient),

I was admitted at short notice for a day surgery procedure at Sutherland hospital recently. I felt I was treated with respect and care the whole way through the day. 

The staff were friendly and kind, in my opinion. It seemed they were interested in who I was as a person and listened to concerns as needed. They kept me informed about what was happening along the way and made me feel safe. 

I could not fault their responsiveness and kindness, in my opinion.

I am sorry you had to present for a surgical procedure, but was very happy to hear that you were treated with respect and kindness throughout the day.

It is of the utmost importance that patients are kept informed about what is happening, because, as you say, it makes you feel safe and reassured.
