I gave birth to my first child recently at King Edward Memorial Hospital. It was pure luck that my referral was triaged into Midwifery Group Practice 4 (MGP4). I saw the same midwife for most of my appointments and felt really supported with the continuity of care provided.
Despite my situation (prelabour rupture of membranes, labour induction, shoulder dystocia and episiotomy), I felt the midwives took great care of me during and after my delivery. I highly recommend MGP4 and it would be great if this program could be more widely available. I would like to thank the MGP4 midwives that attended to me, in particular Liz, who, in my opinion, went above and beyond her role to care for me and my child.
