My spouse has a spinal condition that is degenerative and causes them a lot of grief. My spouse had been on a waiting list, for what seems like forever (was probably about 2 years) and had just got to the top of the list when they were admitted for cardiac surgery (quadrupled bypass).
I believe this then knocked on the head, the plans for the back pain procedure. My spouse was then rescheduled following their recovery from surgery on their heart and was approaching their procedure date when COVID-19 struck and the back procedure was again cancelled.
We have heard that the Health Dept has recommenced procedures but we have had no contact to let us know when, and if, my spouse is going to receive their treatment. They are in a lot of pain and I am again advocating for some relief - when my spouse is in pain, we are all in pain.
I have tried to call the clinic but have discovered that the times when this seems to be the worst, always seems to fall on a Friday when the clinic is closed.
Given that we have not had a great run with the pain clinic; attending appointments that are no longer in the diary, called in for appointments that were not required etc, it would be good if this could go smoothly.
Is there any chance someone, somewhere might see this and help us to achieve a date for this procedure, please?
