On visiting the Emergency Department of St Vincent hospital, I was shocked to see testing done in that area for COVID-19. With all the foot traffic of everyday people coming into and leaving that area for treatment each day, I cannot stress enough how much a risk factor I believe that is for people’s health and for the risk of spreading the virus.
In my opinion, the COVID-19 testing should be done in a separate part of the hospital, away from anyone that is not there for the sole purpose of being tested for the virus.
With everything that is now going on in Melbourne with the increased cases, I feel we need to make sure we don’t go down the same path by not being smart in our everyday new way of life, living with the virus.
In my opinion, the testing department needs to be moved to a separate part of the hospital!
