About three years ago, I was diagnosed with SCA, which they believe started about 20-25 years ago. It is now getting worse fast, impacting balance, coordination and fine motor skills.
I feel good but somewhat frustrated in that I can no longer surf or play golf. I exercise frequently, swim and walk. All in an effort to stay upright for as long as possible. My speech and visionary suffering and gradually getting worse.
All I can say is that Karin was superb..knowledgeable, caring, experienced and willing to listen. I felt her suggestions were excellent and I believe will make a difference to the independence of my life.
It all started with Nina in physio. She recommended a holistic view coordinated by REHAB. Dr. Peter put a lot of actions by various people in place and they have all happened and have been of high quality. There was no follow-up required; it happened with a minimum of fuss. It has been very impressive.
