Really bad, in my opinion. The cast was uncomfortable from day 1 and doing my exercises was causing pain. I had pain on the left side of my arm, the side of the wrist from the unyielding and hard cast: fibreglass.
After 4 days of unnecessary suffering, was replaced by a plaster cast at another hospital. Within hours I had no pain and the discomfort, especially through the night was gone.
The Doctor there did a careful, thoughtful, and remarkable job. They used a cotton sock and made sure the fracture was supported whilst being just the right tension; not too loose and not unnecessarily tight.
Fabulous. I had such a good night's sleep that night.
(P.S. I had no idea how bad that sort of cast could be on my old bony wrist)
