I was at Armadale Hospital recently for a day procedure, my first time under general anaesthetic, so unsure what to expect when I woke up. I did wake up in a lot of pain, a lot more than expected.
There was a nurse in the recovery section (I think that was the section! Where you go straight after theatre) named Phil and he was absolutely amazing. Made me feel comfortable and kept me at ease the whole time.
From the moment I woke up, made sure my pain was under control as quickly as possible, all the way to me being taken back to the ward. I could not have asked for better help than what he gave. He made my experience stress free.
