"Giving birth at KEMH with MGP4"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as a service user),

I gave birth to my baby recently at King Edward Memorial Hospital. I was low risk with MGP4. My midwife was Liz. I specifically wanted to thank her for her support during pregnancy and birth. She always went beyond my expectations and without her help and support, I couldn’t have delivered the baby as comfortable as I did.

I think this program is really great and gives pregnant women great comfort and confidence. You have a midwife from day one till the end.

Dear Baby

I would like to extend my congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your child. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS). I am pleased to hear that your experience was a positive one.

WNHS is incredibly proud of the support that the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) teams provide to our patients and their families. WNHS would certainly like to expand the MGP service for our families in the future as our numbers grow so that more women in the community can access care from the same small group of midwives for the duration of their pregnancy, labour and birth and in the postnatal period. I will ensure that the MGP4 team, and in particular, Liz receives your feedback.

Thank you once again for sharing your feedback with me. I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
