"The exceptional staff at Royal Adelaide Hospital"

My parent has dementia, recently they developed septicaemia from an infection. It spread throughout their body and we didn’t think they would make it through the night but three days later, they're still hanging on.  

To watch someone you love who has carried you, guided you, been your solid rock when you needed them, look so frail and close to death is beyond words; the pain and emotions will live with us forever.

While our emotions are all over the place, sleep deprivation and grief just hanging in the air, the staff have been amazing. They were so compassionate, understanding & so helpful, going above and beyond their job description.

These unsung heroes deserve more recognition than they ever will get but I’m here to tell all the staff that without you amazing beautiful people with huge hearts, we would not have been able to cope as well as we have been.

I say a huge thank you as words will never express our true gratitude... Especially staff in 8G... Thank you & God bless you all... ❤️🌹
