A few years ago, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I had a Whipple Procedure done at another hospital the same year, which ensured I was cancer-free.
Due to adhesion formation post-Whipple procedure, I have had multiple bowel blockages that have required being admitted each time. The majority of hospital admissions have been at the Armadale Hospital. Each time I have been admitted, it was into the Colyer Surgical Ward where I received professional medical care.
The staff and doctors were extremely helpful, respectful and transparent. Due to my recurring bowel blockages, I have had the opportunity to build up a rapport with the nursing staff of Colyer Surgical Ward who I have found to be not only professional, but show empathy in their delivery of a much-needed service.
To all staff and doctors of the Colyer Surgical Ward, thank you very much.
