I came to the emergency with severe pain to my right foot. I was assisted by the triage staff member who I believe could see I had difficulty walking from the car to ED.
The doctor that assessed me gave me the impression they were not interested and just wanted to send me home. I requested an x-ray but that was declined. I felt so humiliated limping out of the hospital without a proper diagnosis.
I felt the doctor just handballed it to see my GP and take some pain killers instead of trying to identify the problem. In my opinion, it was the most humiliating experience and I felt patronised. I was assessed in less than 5 minutes!
