"Care for my relative"

About: Community Nursing (Bass Coast Health) Wonthaggi Hospital / Acute Ward Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My spouse and I would like to compliment on the care my sister in-law received at Bass Coast Health.

Upon discharge from Monash Health she was linked in with District Nursing and an Oncologist who both provided her with compassionate and caring support for the past few weeks of her life.

Unfortunately, she had a fall and was taken by Ambulance to Wonthaggi Hospital and spent her last few days there. The Doctors and nursing staff were amazing. We were so touched by the kind, thoughtful and respectful actions of all staff from security at the front door, to the nurses who were with her for the last days.

We cannot thank you enough and I don't want to mention names as I don't know everyone involved in her final days but want you all to know how much it meant to us.

Dear induseg83,

I am so sorry for your loss and I am so grateful that you would take the time to write such lovely feedback to our staff. Thank you.

The Bass Coast Health team know that there is no greater privilege than to be able to care for a patient and their family in the last days of life. I know they will be very humbled by your words and I hope that you and your spouse are doing ok.

Best wishes,

Jan.
