About: Albany Health Campus / Maternity Ward

(as the patient),

I had my first baby at Albany Health Campus, this was earlier this year before the pandemic. The two midwives that were on that night were absolutely amazing. I felt at ease and well taken care of, my labour was very quick and my doctor just got there in time. As a first time mother I was treated fantastic, they helped me with breastfeeding. I stayed there for a few days which I found helped a lot as they were so close by when I needed help.

I cannot thank all the midwives on maternity ward they do an absolutely amazing job.

I’m also a staff member at the hospital and I felt so proud to be a staff member at Albany Health Campus!

Dear mayht87,

Congratulations! Thank you for your lovely feedback. It means so much to us. I’ve shared your feedback with all the staff on the Maternity and Newborn Ward. Our midwives provide a range of services, before, during and after pregnancy. This includes antenatal care through shared-care clinics with local GP Obstetricians, childbirth education and services, and post-natal care for all aspects of caring for a newborn. Our midwives will even visit new mums at home for a period of up to five days post-natal, and many of our Child Health Nurses in the community are also midwives. For more information about this service contact Albany Health Campus on 9892 2310.

Thank you again for sharing your feedback with us through Care Opinion. We are all so glad to know that you had a good first birthing experience at Albany Health Campus. Our very best wishes to you and your family.

Kind regards,

Tash Jeppesen
