"Emergency department"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I went to the Emergency at Wonthaggi Hospital with severe pain in the lower back and groin. The doctor examined my groin and asked where the pain in my back was. They then made an embarrassing comment about the size of my testicles loud enough, I believe, for a couple of nurses and other patients to hear. I was then sent home without further tests and no painkillers. In my opinion, it was very poor treatment by this doctor. The rest of the staff were terrific.

Dear Lonewolf,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I am very sorry that you had this experience. I would be keen to talk directly with you so that we can review your file and follow up with the doctor involved. I wonder if you could call me please on 0472 846 355.

Thank you,

Jan
