We had an excellent experience being part of MPG4 at KEMH. This was our second child. My partner felt supported throughout thanks to the continuity of care offered by Liz and Sarah. We had our first child at KEMH also, and used the services offered through the East Wing clinic. While the service we received through East Wing was great, the experience we had through MGP4 was better.
By regularly seeing the same two midwives, Liz and Sarah were able to create an environment of trust that gave me and (particularly) my partner the confidence that nothing was being missed and that we were being looked after. Seeing the same two midwives every time and the knowledge that they both were discussing our case was crucial to establishing this trust. Just as crucial was that one of our trusted midwives, Sarah, delivered our baby.
