We went through the MGP4 team again at KEMH. We had the same primary midwife for both our babies delivered there in 2019 and 2020. We were really pleased we got the same midwife as she was fantastic the first time. During COVID, it was slightly different with the care being with our GP for a few weeks longer than usual before we saw our midwife. We didn’t have a problem with this as it was our second baby and we have a really good GP. Mel was fantastic from the get go. She was always really professional and was great at implementing my breastfeeding plan I had arranged prenatally with the breastfeeding centre WA once Bub was born. We were thrilled she was at the birth. She delivered our Bub safely into the world. I particularly liked the way she handled me in labour. She was very encouraging and always provided options for getting as comfortable as possible.
Overall it was always very easy dealing with Mel and she made me feel that the health and well-being of my baby and I was paramount. It was such a pleasure to have Mel as my primary midwife and would absolutely want her there by my side if we decided to have a third child.
