"My Journey at Logan Family Recovery"

About: Lives Lived Well - Logan Family Recovery

(as a service user),

I came to Logan Family Recovery because I was using drugs and wanted to get clean for my kids and have a clean lifestyle.

I brought my young child with me. I was nervous and worried but settled in quickly. I liked the units and the program structure, I thought three months was initially too long and wanted to leave early but I pushed through with my own willpower and I am glad I stayed and completed the program.

The program taught me coping strategies and to get me ready for the outside world again. I feel nervous about going home but I feel ready and know I can do this with all the help I received.

Hello earthtx43,

Thank you for your comments on Care Opinion and for telling us about your experience at Lives Lived Well's Logan Family Recovery Units. Taking on your use of drugs, parenting children and changing your lifestyle are all big events on their own. I can understand your nervous feeling as you prepare to go home.

Well done for persisting when you wanted to leave early. Timing can sometimes be so critical. Often we know the information and skills but it is establishing new patterns within ourselves that needs lots of care and attention and staying to complete the program helps that to happen.

I wish you all the best for the future.

Warm regards

Gerard
