Wonderful ED Experience

About: Esperance Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I recently attended ED with my child and I just wanted to thank Doctor Jeff for his wonderful patient care. My child had recently had surgery and so my concerns were taken very seriously and I was made to feel that presenting to the emergency department was a good decision.

I was grateful that Doctor Jeff didn’t think twice and called the specialist in Perth to discuss my child's ongoing care. Even though he was running a busy emergency department, he still took the time to discuss all his plans with me and has a great bedside manner, which is so refreshing.

I’m thankful that there was such a knowledgeable and caring doctor on shift. Thank you also to the nursing staff, Emily and student, Sarah and PCA, Trish for their wonderful care of me and my child.

Reading your story this morning made me really appreciate what a wonderful job our staff do at the Esperance Health Campus. I was pleased to hear that your concerns were taken seriously by Jeff and the team as that is exactly what we would expect from our staff. The care and communication with patients and their families is such an important part of the patient journey and in your experience, it sounds like this all came together in the best possible care for your child.

I will be delighted to share your story with Jeff, Emily, Sarah and Trish and staff at the Hospital Health Campus. I do hope that your child has now fully recovered and thank you for taking the time to share your story.
