"MGP5"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was selected for MGP at KEMH for my first pregnancy.

I had planned to go private because I feel that’s just an expectation these days, but due to missing the min waiting time, public was my only choice.

This was a blessing in disguise.

My experience in the MGP program was incredible. I felt I had the care and support from professional and knowledgeable midwives throughout my pregnancy.

I always felt like I was in the best hands.

The continued at home aftercare has been second to none and so convenient & valuable.

My midwife Caylin was exceptional.

I am forever grateful for her knowledge, kindness & was encouragement.

I was able to approach labour with anticipation instead of fear.

Dear volansgf46,

Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of your child. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS). I am pleased to hear your experience was a positive one.

The Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) has made a difference in the care we are able to provide to our patients and it is lovely to hear that you were able to get the support you needed during your pregnancy and birthing journey. I am so glad to hear that the great standard of care and support continued during your aftercare at home. WNHS would certainly like to expand the MGP model to offer the service to more women in the community.

Thank you once again for providing your feedback. I will be sure to share this great feedback with Caylin and the rest of the MGP5 team.

I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Jodi Graham
