"Empathy in Broome ED"

About: Broome Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

Went into Broome ED with a sore back. The staff, even though they were extremely busy, were very concerned for me and my condition. Triage nurse and clerk were very personable and quite empathetic towards me. The doctor that treated me (Dr Wendy) listened to me and took time to do the best for me. I felt heard and validated by the staff.

Thank you for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. It is wonderful to hear that the staff had the ability to imagine what it would be like in your situation, which is true empathy.

Broome hospital is indeed a very busy place but we should at all times reflect our core values and to hear that this occurred for you is fantastic.
