A few days ago, my husband and I had our first child delivered at Busselton Hospital.
I was initially induced as my waters had broken the day prior and contractions had not started. Unfortunately, after around 10hrs of intermittent contractions, it was identified that baby was showing signs of distress and I hadn't dilated more than 1cm. After consultation, the decision was made to perform a c-section and my baby was safely delivered via C-section later that night.
I wanted to submit this story as the level of care we received during our time at Busselton Hospital was awesome and it's hard to imagine we would have got this level of support anywhere else in Australia, in my opinion.
The main midwives that we saw were: Amy, Claire, Cat, Emma, Heather, Jan, Jill, Lisa and Melania. All were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and put a lot of effort into ensuring we had the support needed to give our baby the best start in life.
Also want to mention our Doctor, Ray, who was very reassuring and supportive throughout the pregnancy and delivering the baby.
