I arrived in Kalbarri with a few friends anticipating a beautiful week of fun and sightseeing. On my first evening here I tripped on a loose pavement in the dark and knew immediately something was seriously wrong.
My spouse and I were trying to decide if we should repack the car and drive back to either Geraldton or Perth to get X-rays and appropriate health care. Thank goodness my spouse realised there was a Medical Centre right here in Kalbarri.
Upon arriving I received the most expert and compassionate care from the Nursing Manager, Cindy. I was advised of the progress of my diagnosis every step of the way. Cindy was also able to X-ray my shoulder and arrange a telehealth assessment with a doctor.
My shoulder was fractured which of course was bad news but the whole experience was made less traumatic due to Cindy’s expertise and kindness. Thank you so much.
