I had been on the waitlist for almost two years and then received notice that my knee surgery appointment was booked mid-December.
I received my letter and received a call from the Central Admissions Service, which due to my lack of phone service was unable to speak. My spouse called and spoke with Liz who was amazing! So very friendly, helpful and kind. Liz talked through all sorts of details that were very helpful. Checking times, fasting, ice cubes, parking, approximately how long the surgery would take.
These types of procedures can often create anxiety and when arranging yourself to attend can be a little nerve-wracking. Liz was fantastic to help relieve anxiety before the day, and then on the day. Everyone that I came into contact with was very helpful, kind and compassionate. I was very grateful to all the staff on the day who supported me and kept me updated and informed.
Thank you to all the team, and apologies that I was not able to remember your names, except that my spouse could remember Liz's.
