I was admitted by ambulance in the early hours one morning to the emergency department. The 2 ambulance officers were fantastic. Very professional and compassionate.
After being in the corridor for only a few minutes I was taken into the Emergency cubicles very quickly and seen by nurses and several doctors. I can highly recommend the service I was given as a private patient. Everybody did their job well.
I only have one complaint whilst being on level six in the gastro ward. I was given many intravenous injections. One of which was potassium. This was very painful. I rang the bell for a nurse to come. It rang continuously for a good 40 minutes. I called a nurse that was passing the room and they asked another nurse on the 6th Floor that was supposed to be my nurse for the afternoon shift to give me a heat bag for the pain it was causing me. The nurse went into the storeroom and came out without it. That is my complaint. That the nurse didn't carry through when asked to their duty of care to me.
I was very happy with the service of care from Mr Dieter and his team of doctors.
