(as the patient),

I came in for mental health issues. The staff were totally awesome. I felt they genuinely care for me. I’d be standing in my doorway and they would come and check on me if I needed anything. I think this is the best place to be when you are unwell.

The nurses and doctors pop in to see me and they made me feel safe. Everyone is smiling. They made me feel special and have self-worth.

I want to go and shake the doctor's hand for pulling me out of the state I was in, in the Emergency Department. The night nurses were also really nice and I want to be able to thank all the staff. 

I moved out here to start a new life. I’m 3,000 miles away from home and I don’t feel lonely because of the support I have from this health service.

Hello romeotn93,

It is really hard to start a new life so far away from your home and family so well done! It's nice to know that when you did hit a bump in the road that there were some kind and helpful health workers there to help. Further to this, thank-you for recognising the great things the staff did for you to make you feel safe and welcome.

Living remote can be tough, and our staff know the good and the bad that comes along with it. I feel very proud of the Doctors and Nurses who go above and beyond to ensure the highest level of care is provided.

The staff have been made aware of your kind words and for some of them, it helps them to get through their days as well.
