Thank you for taking the time to share your experience regarding the care you received at Bentley Health Service. I am truly sorry to hear of your concerns and the anguish this has caused you.

It is troubling to hear that you felt invalid and suicidal as a result of staff using your dead name and incorrect pronouns. This is not the standard of respect and kindness our staff strive to provide as part of our commitment to delivering safe and inclusive health care services to members of our community that identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI).

Royal Perth Bentley Group aims to eliminate the stigma that LGBTI community members face when accessing mental health care services and I am deeply sorry that this did not occur during your hospital stay.
