"Post Acute Service"

About: Wonthaggi Hospital / Post Acute Care

(as the patient),

I am in my 80s. Just had an emergency gall bladder operation and awaiting left hip surgery. My wife in her 70s fell and broke her shoulder.

We have been offered 3 sessions of 1 1/2 hours per week.

As we are self-reliant and proud, it was with reluctance we accepted the offer. At our age having a stranger enter and wonder about our house was not a happy situation.

The first lady came and she straight away put us at ease by her way of working. She was a success.

Thank you.

Dear flutejq53,

Thank you for this lovely feedback. Good on you for being proud, self-reliant and independent - exactly how you should be! I am so pleased our staff were able to offer support without compromising your independence. The team will be very chuffed with your kind words!!!!

Kind Regards, Jan
