"My recent, suspected heart attack"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

From the time I was admitted into the Emergency Department, the care and attention I received were as expected, 100% fantastic.

Back in 1990, I was admitted with burst ulcers. It was touch and go for me but the final outcome was as obvious, perfect. I am still here being now nearly 90.

Two years approx. ago, my wife, in her 80s at the time, was admitted with pneumonia and infections of the lungs. My daughters and myself were taken aside and told it was a very dangerous situation and it as possible that we may lose her as she was at that time only 32.5 kgs in weight.

But Charlie's staff were there with her all the time and once again performed a miracle. She's now nearly 90 years of age and weighs 41 kgs due to the medication supplied and recommended by the dietitians.

I cannot thank Charlie's enough for the outstanding care, attention and love my family and self have received over the years. Bless you all.

Dear yankeecq65,

Thank you for taking the time to provide such excellent feedback on your experience when accessing care at the Emergency Department(ED), SCGH. It is really great to hear that you were so satisfied with the care you received during your recent presentation for a suspected heart attack.

It is lovely to hear how well your wife is doing following the pneumonia she had a couple of years ago and how appreciative you are for the care your family have had at SCGH over the years. We are fortunate to have very caring and professional staff within the ED who are committed to providing our patients with the best possible outcomes.

I will forward your feedback to the team so that they know the difference their commitment has made to you and your family.

Wishing you all the very best for the future.

Kind regards,

Janet Zagari
