About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Breastfeeding Centre of WA

(as a service user),

I visited the Breastfeeding Centre of WA at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

I had a follow-up consultation with the same Lactation Consultant I saw 10 days previously. I feel like I have established a good relationship with this care provider, who I can also share my emotional state and concerns with, and I appreciate the continuity of care that provides a safe space for this.

We discussed progress, issues and made a plan for going forward. I feel very supported and empowered following the visit. 

This is my second baby and both times I have found the care, support and expertise excellent here. They are the reason I continue to breastfeed.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Breastfeeding Centre at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH). Our staff at the Breastfeeding Centre are dedicated to helping new mothers breastfeed successfully. It is lovely to hear that you were able to get the advice and support you needed to successfully breastfeed.

We are very proud of our staff in the Breastfeeding Centre and the service they provide. Our staff are committed to this service and this is a true testament of the collaborative approach with baby and mother to achieve such positive results.
