"MGP4 midwifery program at KEMH"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I was very excited to go through the Midwifery Group Practice with both my second and third pregnancies. My midwife and I had a great relationship throughout the pregnancy and I felt listened to and cared for throughout the pregnancy.

Having this same midwife present at my birth filled with me a sense of calm reassurance that I was in a safe and supportive environment which ultimately lead to a wonderful birth.

I believe the continuity of care that I received, including home visits, also set me up for excellent postnatal recovery and early establishment of breastfeeding which has helped in the first few weeks of having a newborn.

Dear coinww73,

Congratulations on the birth of your child. Thank you for your comments on the Care Opinion site.

We are incredibly proud of our Midwifery Group Practice model of care (MGP) and the way our midwives work with our patients to achieve positive outcomes during the pregnancy and birthing journey. I am so pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you felt safe and supported throughout your pregnancy and birth. I am so glad to hear that the great standard of care and support continued during your aftercare.

Thank you for sharing your story, I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind Regards,

Jodi Graham
