(as a parent/guardian),

As a mother of a teenage child who severely injured their knee, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for the excellent level of care we received at the Karratha Health Campus Emergency Department.

I would especially like to thank Dr Clive for his thorough assessment of my child's knee and his attention to detail to ensure we received the appropriate treatment and follow up. For an emergency doctor in a town where you cannot access timely GP appointments, in my opinion, this adds complexity to ED presentations as the doctor has to initiate and provide follow up care usually facilitated by a GP.

I am truly thankful to Dr Clive as he organised our referral to an orthopaedic surgeon and completed PATS paperwork enabling us to have a smooth transition to Perth for surgery.

We are now home and on the road to recovery.

It is great to hear that access to PATS and the transfer of your son’s treatment to a surgeon in Perth was a smooth transition as this aligns with our WA Country Health Service value of Equity, ensuring our country patients have access to quality care.
