Hello. I would like to start off by praising my child's speech therapist as she is so bubbly, caring, professional, and fun. She is doing an amazing job with my child and we are seeing a progressive outcome.
Now the building where she works, most of the staff are quite welcoming. From what I can see they are a predominantly child based centre... murals on the walls for children to interact with etc.
As I have a younger child as well (1&1/2 years old) I did need to use the toilet facilities for them. I was quite surprised that they did not allow for parents to dispose of soiled nappies into the rubbish bins provided. Which they had written so in black marker on the top of the lid.
I feel this is absolutely appalling and ridiculous that they refused to provide a adequate bin for disposal of nappies that children need to use. I believe my therapist was just as shocked as I was when they told me I had to take the nappies with me!? I believe this needs to be changed.
In my opinion, you wouldn’t ask a female to take her sanitary item with her once used. Bins are provided.
Restaurants, GP clinics allow you to dispose of nappies in the bins provided, why not a community health centre that I understand predominantly works with children.
