My elderly partner had seen one of the doctors here for an infection in a burst cyst on his back. He went to the Health Centre for a change of dressing while I was away for one night, his infection was not responding to the antibiotics given by the doctor and a second opinion was sought by the nursing staff.

My partner, by this time, was showing worsening symptoms of the infection so acting as they did and commencing IV antibiotics, saved his life.

He was taken down to the hospital by my daughter and underwent two surgeries and stayed in there a week on more IV antibiotics.

If it hadn’t been for the actions of the nursing staff at Jurien Bay Health Centre I really feel the outcome would have been much worse than it was. He is now back in their care after some weeks with a wound vac.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff.
