After suffering with an issue calling health direct recently for assistance, I was directed to the ED at Bunbury Hospital. On first presenting to the desk, a lovely lady assisted me and informed me of what to do and where to sit to await triage (it's a little confusing about what to do). The triage nurse Molly was quick to call me in and asses my situation. My husband assisted in the triage process and was included in the consultation before I was directed back to the wait room.
I was soon able to be seen by Dr Frances who was, I felt, simply amazing and reassuring. Following assessment and the beginning of my treatment which I needed, I was taken to the short stay unit. I felt the nursing and support team were caring and compassionate in particular Kaitlin who was attentive and kind. Nurse Soshe (?) took over the care in the evening and was, I felt, equally caring and at all times through the day Dr Frances was at hand to treat and reassure me. I just wanted to say a big thank you to the team for caring for me as well as including my husband in the decisions being made. I also wanted to say thank you for the compassion that was shown to me through out my presentation.
