"Sydney Eye Hospital"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Day Procedure Unit (DPU - 1 West)

(as a service user),

I found out I had a Retina Displacement and it made me scared. It was arranged for me to go to the Eye Hospital that day for surgery that night.

Unfortunately, I was not operated on then and had to go back next day. Again, the surgery was put off due to emergencies. They would not let me train it home and gave me a cab charge. I believe that level of concern shows what they are like.

Back again next day and it all happened. I must say that I think the staff at Admin and pre and post-op care are magical. Nikita and her off-sider are a treasure and made my visits more comfortable as it was an eye we are talking about, and as a professional driver, it is my livelihood. I think all the staff deserve a big thank you for everything.

Dear novemberys83,

You must have been very anxious about the surgery considering your need to have good eye sight for your career as a professional driver. So it is heart-warming to hear of the level of person-centred care you received here at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital recently. It will give me great pleasure in sharing your feedback to Nikita and the team.

All the best in your recovery

Kind regards

Jon
