I wanted to come to Logan Family Recovery with my partner and two children, but they weren't ready. They turned violent. I grabbed my babies and we left.
I found a great support from DV Connect and DVAC. They helped my babies and I to get into Logan Family Recovery units.
I was scared, but grateful at the same time. The staff was very supportive and kind. The staff knew my circumstances and was never judgmental around my situation.
I was an alcoholic and a drug user. My eyes were opened to a lot more supports out there that people in addiction are aware of.
Recovery doesn't happen overnight and is alright to bail and keep yourself up again. LFR made me feel like I was worth it.
All staff had one on one meetings with me about different supports and helped me be confident in my recovery journey.
At the end of the journey I was supported having a Safety Plan and Exit Plan, so I know what to refer to after completing the program
"My recovery to a new beginning"
