Late 2019, I developed Charcot foot and now have a permanently damaged foot.

It was at this time I met Julie (aka divine miss Julie) and Tep (aka Big Chief), also known in my house as “the poddies”.  How lucky and grateful am I.

Not only have I had the best medical care but also genuine care and concern about my mental health.  During treatments we have had such great chats and loads of laughter.

My family and I cannot thank them enough.  Julie and Tep you are not allowed to leave or I will FOLLOW (hahaha insert evil laugh here).

Also recognition and thanks go to Kate on the front desk, quick with the hello and always remembers who I am.

Dear vulpeculayj59,

Thank you for this wonderful feedback. I am glad Julie and Tep were able to lighten your experience. Charcot’s foot can be a very debilitating condition if not treated early and the podiatry team use Total Contact Casting and offloading devices to support patients in their recovery. I am glad to hear the medical care was exemplary and the team were considerate and caring. Thankfully, both Julie and Tep are invested in the community, so we look forwards to having them working with and for WACHS for many years to come.

Our Administrative Officer, Kate, will also be very pleased with your feedback. Kate is a core member of staff, coordinating appointments and supporting communications in the background, we also greatly value and appreciate her witty sense of humour and daily positive demeanour. A great team, if I do so say myself. I appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. In a busy hospital such as the Albany Health Campus, all feedback is more than welcome.
