"Poor behavioural treatment in ED"

About: Austin Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

Recently, my parent from a non English speaking background visited emergency due to abdominal pain. I believe they were talked to rudely and my other parent was also told to leave several times who is the carer. This is disgusting as my parent who was in pain, was in tears after they were belittled by the reception staff.

Based on my parents' experience, I believe more care and understanding should be given to elderly people who do not understand policies and procedures. I feel you should be ashamed of yourselves, no empathy at all.
