About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Outpatient Department (Eyes & General)

(as the patient),

I am a person in my 90s and I have to travel from rural New South Wales. I've now in the last few months travelled down to the Sydney Eye Hospital a few times and every time I have rung the day before to confirm, and on my arrival every time they have not had any confirmation in their system computer. Every time I've asked them to update my address and every time I go back they still have my old address, which I have not lived in for several years, so I have not received any written information through the post.

On every occasion where I've been to the Sydney Eye Hospital in that last 12 months they have lost my reports this is another frustration.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate that traveling from a rural area to Sydney can be challenging without the added stresses of not having your appointment confirmed, or missing paper work when you arrive.

It is disappointing to hear that we have not been able to resolve these issues over a number of visits to Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital and is something we aim to resolve.
